  2. Maternity Benefits: Under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961, women are entitled to 26 weeks of paid maternity leave. The law also mandates facilities for nursing mothers and offers protection from dismissal during maternity leave.

  3. Protection from Sexual Harassment: The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013, often referred to as the POSH Act, ensures that workplaces are safe and free from harassment. It mandates the formation of an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in companies with ten or more employees to address complaints of sexual harassment and ensure a fair inquiry.

  4. Right to a Safe Workplace: Women are legally entitled to a safe and healthy work environment under the Factories Act, 1948, which requires employers to take necessary safety measures and ensure hygienic conditions at work.
